Our Authentication Process
Every piece, verified. No exceptions.
Maison Meszarics is a curation house, not a manufacturer. Each piece in our catalog passes the same multi-step verification before it goes on sale. Below is exactly how we work.
Step 01
Source verification
We accept pieces only from vetted private clients, estates and pre-approved boutiques. Each source provides documentation of acquisition before we inspect.
Step 02
Physical inspection
Hardware, stitching, leather grain, lining, serial codes and date stamps are examined by our in-house team against reference archives.
Step 03
Material analysis
For high-value items we cross-check materials and construction techniques against the brand era and reference samples we maintain in-house.
Step 04
Condition grading
Each piece receives a documented condition grade with detailed photography of any wear, so you know exactly what arrives.
Step 05
Certificate issued
A digital authentication record with a unique reference number is generated and shipped with the piece. You can reference it at any time.
Step 06
Insured shipping
Items leave the studio via FedEx Express, fully insured, with signature on delivery required at the destination.
What we check
- Hardware finish, weight and engraving depth against era-specific reference.
- Stitching count, thread tension and seam consistency.
- Date codes, serial numbers and heat stamps.
- Lining material, branded hardware backings and inner stamps.
- Leather grain pattern under macro inspection.
- Zipper pulls and brand-specific hardware screws.
Our promise
If a piece does not pass every check, it does not go on sale. If we ever ship an item later found to be inauthentic, you receive a full refund and we cover the return shipping. No restocking fees, no exceptions.
